{"id":2667,"date":"2022-09-15T13:16:46","date_gmt":"2022-09-15T12:16:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kirkwoodwilson.co.uk\/?p=2667"},"modified":"2022-09-15T13:16:46","modified_gmt":"2022-09-15T12:16:46","slug":"employers-paye-variable-payment-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kirkwoodwilson.co.uk\/employers-paye-variable-payment-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"Employers PAYE &#8211; introduction of variable payment plan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From 19 September 2022, in response to customer feedback, employers\u2019 PAYE customers will be able to take advantage of a new variable Direct Debit payment plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The service can be accessed through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/pay-paye-tax\">Pay employers\u2019 PAYE<\/a> or directly through the business tax account and the employers PAYE service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be changes to the business tax account and the employers\u2019 liabilities and payments screens on the employers PAYE service. A new link, \u2018Set up a Direct Debit\u2019 will be introduced, and this will allow customers to set up a Direct Debit instruction, authorising HMRC to collect direct from their bank account based on their return submissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following set up, the link will change to \u2018Manage your Direct Debit\u2019, and an employer will be able to view, change or cancel the Direct Debit online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility to create, view, amend and cancel a Direct Debit is restricted to employers only, there is no scope for agents to do this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If signed up to a variable payment plan, the following charges will be collected on receipt of the returns to HMRC:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Full Payment Submission<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Employer Payment Summary<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Construction Industry Scheme<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Apprenticeship Levy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Class 1A National Insurance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Earlier Year Update<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does it mean for me?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If we complete your payroll each month, we\u2019ll still continue to send the usual information, so you\u2019ll know the amount that will be collected by direct debit, you just won\u2019t have to make a physical payment each month, it will be done automatically.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From 19 September 2022, in response to customer feedback, employers\u2019 PAYE customers will be able to take advantage&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":2668,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[11],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.8 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Variable Payment Plan | Kirkwood Wilson<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"In response to customer feedback, employers\u2019 PAYE customers will be able to take advantage of a new variable payment plan.
